No Spend Week (NSW): Day 1

I'm hoping to make this week (Feb 21-Feb 28) a no food shopping week, as the amounts of food in the fridge, freezer and pantry are totally ridiculous. I'll also be trying to keep track of some of the more interesting meals made and new recipes tried this week.

A recipe from a web site I've been visiting recently, MSE, intrigued me. Potato in bread? These turned out well, though were possibly overbaked in the toaster oven. Yummy but probably not suitable for making sandwiches. At least I'm getting through my long backlog of recipes.

Today's meals:
Breakfast: leftover potato shrimp cakes (too much garam masala and shrimp kept falling off when pan fried).
Lunch: bean thread soup with napa, remaining tofu and fish cakes.
Dinner: Leftover quiche (tuna, potato, shrimp, eggs, milk, asparagus, cheese) and apple.

Snacks: biscotti, peanuts, cheese and potato bread.
