My first attempt baking with peanut butter was brought on by a craving for something sweet as well as a surfeit of peanut butter. I wasn't able to find any recipes that didn't require butter and creaming, so another couple of firsts. Discovered that it's definitely possible to cream butter and sugar by hand but am glad this very basic recipe from Simply Recipes made enough for me to stash the dough in the freezer for another day. These turned out very well texturally as I baked them until they became crisp, but cutting the sugar by half made them a little too plain even for my tastes. Scones were baked for breakfast and to finish the never-ending labneh. Thankfully I think this recipe from Farmgirl Fare will be the end of it.
