Weekend Baking: Plum Crumble

Crumbles are probably the first thing I ever baked. Our home economics classes in school were pretty decent and we actually learnt to cook a few dishes and complete meals. For me, the dishes we cooked were pretty exotic as we mainly ate Chinese food at home.

Crumbles are pretty easy. I used the 2:1:1 ratio for flour:butter:sugar. Some of the frozen prune plums were a little mushy and the ratio of crumble to fruit could have been higher, but this was delicious when piping hot from the oven. It was also a beautiful deep, rich colour.
