My teapot

Yup, it's come to this - blogging aboout my teapot. Instead of insider insight into lesser known food worlds, breathtaking food photography, vital and compelling writing, useful and interesting recipes or reviews of food around the world, you get this instead. This is even worse than cheese sandwiches!

As I've mentioned before, I don't bake, cook using recipes, eat out much, nor am I very knowledgeable about food. So why do I have a food blog? Well, I decided this year I needed something to do outside work (otherwise known as a hobby), and as I'd like to improve my writing and photography skills, this seemed like a good choice.

Anyway, back to regularly scheduled programming, this teapot was also a gift from my parents and was purchased at Takashimaya in Singapore I believe. It's light (Pyrex), elegant and functional. Notice the removeable, irregularly shaped plastic mesh filter that's deep enough for occasions when you're only making half a pot of tea, but wide enough to accomodate large tea leaves as they open. It's not as visible today as I made tea from a teabag and just put the filter in for photographing. Sorry.

My gosh, you linked like a thousand food blogs in one sentence! Thanks for the link, BTW!
