Interesting tea bag concept. Probably works better with a tall mug. Too bad the tea quality doesn't match the concept.

Hazelnuts galore

A selection of hazelnut and gianduia chocolates from various airline lounges around the world and their hazelnut bar counterparts from New Zealand, Austria and Spain.

Green tea KitKats and Coppeneur truffles

The chocolate on the KitKats is replaced by a green tea flavoured chocolate making these bars not just visually attractive but also strongly redolent of matcha.

The truffles (milk chocolate and gianduia and white chocolate with peach filling) are a gift of Lufthansa via my parents. The gianduia truffle is smooth but rather bland; the slightly tart peach filling complements well the sweetness of the white chocolate.

Small fingers of soft (due to today's humidity) smooth, creamy milk chocolate-covered gianduia. This bar is more about the silky smooth texture of both gianduia and chocolate than depth of flavour, with the hazelnut flavour fairly muted. I am pleasantly surprised it is not toothachingly sweet like similar bars. Love the chunky bar in its textured paper wrapper. Apparently this is part of Cote D'Or's Classic range.

Caffarel Gianduia

A recent visit to Seattle resulted in many, many more chocolate purchases. More reviews to follow as I get round to eating my way through them.

My first experience with this brand. No Caffarel dark chocolate (ie >65% cocoa) options at DeLaurenti, where I got this bar, hence the gianduia. Very rich, smooth, milky and sweet, with a clear nutty taste.
